Every once in a while I find out how the upper echelon of employees migrate from company to company. Presumably every move is to "enhance the shareholder value", but sometimes it just makes no sense. Recently (today
), Apple's Ex-lead-UI-guy is now making news with google+. From the press it would appear they may have finally cracked the social nut. But at the opposite end of the spectrum you have Rovio of Angry Birds fame taking on an advisor from Marvel
Put another way:
• google hires world-class-apple-designer for social media efforts and it's working
•angry birds feels it needs marketing expertise from marvel, the guys who brought us hulk 2
For the record there are many recent marvel movies I feel are only fit for redbox or dollar cinema. I can't even imagine who authorized the Subway Green-lantern-avacado-bacon-lantern-sandwich, but if that is who Rovio has now.... expect Angry Birds brand hamburger helper. Bluntly put, Rovio can do better.
